Emma runs I AM YOUTH. She will be who you liaise with and who will give you the guidance and support you need.

   "Hi!

I am a fully qualified teacher with years of experience in multiple youth work contexts both as a volunteer and paid, and have been the Youth Pastor overseeing multiple church youth groups at the Ivy Church Network in Manchester, UK for the last 9 years.

I grew up in the church in the South of England and went through the youth ministry myself, becoming a youth leader at the age of 16 running small groups.  I then went on to do a year out with The Pais Project, a youth and schools training year, where I ran a churches youth work in Salford at the age of 18, whilst doing school's work during the day.

I went to University to train as a Primary school teacher and taught for 6 years in both affluent and highly deprived contexts whilst volunteering for The Eden Project in Manchester, a youth work project in a high crime, high deprivation area.  I trained in youth work with Life Church, Bradford and Bethel Church, USA.

I have been overseeing the Youth Work at Ivy Church now for over 9 years and in that time, it has grown from one church to 5 sites across the city which I manage the youth work at in each context. I have  also hosted the Youth Work Summit  Conference 2 years in a row.

I am also a professional DJ! I love to use music to connect people to Jesus. Young people in particular respond so well to music and what it can communicate. I love to use what God has given us to make Him relevant to all, in everyday we can!

My passion is equipping others to do youth work well and genuinely want to help you and your church do youth work well. I love being able to go into a situation and bring positive change through new ideas and concepts, giving you the confidence and ability to see God's Kingdom grow where you are."
